Ah. What to say about 2008? Not the best of years, admittedly, but not the worst by far. I started a new job with a new organization. It's good for me and I think I'm making a difference. The Husband was accepted to the Texas Bar, and is still working very hard for his clients. We managed to stay married longer than no fewer than 15 celeb marriages-- setting the bar high, people.
I'm afraid that this is going to sound ungrateful. 2008 was very good to us. We worked hard, grew closer to our friends and families and each other, and made many wonderful memories over the last year.
Still, I feel like 2008 was primarily a year where we put our heads down and worked furiously, only to look up 5 days before Christmas and say, "Whoa. Where did the year go?"
I don't want 2009 to be like that. I intend to use 2009 to do as much in my personal life as I do in my professional life.
